Legal status
Regulated and non-regulated activity
Employment law, HR Management and HR
consultancy
At Bamboo, our employment law, HR management and HR consultancy
activities are provided by Bamboo Law Limited ("Bamboo Law").
Bamboo Law is a firm of solicitors, authorised and regulated by
the Solicitors Regulation Authority (the "SRA") under number
07197802. All advice given by Bamboo Law is regulated by the
SRA (whose professional rules may be accessed at http://www.sra.org.uk) and is
covered by our professional indemnity insurance.
If in relation to any transaction or matter you need advice on
investments, we may have to refer you to someone who is authorised
by the Financial Services Authority, as we are not. However,
as we are authorised and regulated by the SRA, we may be able to
provide certain limited investment services where these are closely
linked to the legal work we are doing for you.
We are not authorised by the Financial Services Authority.
However, we are included on the register maintained by the
Financial Services Authority so that we can carry on insurance
mediation activity, which is broadly the advising on, selling and
administration of insurance contracts. This part of our
business, including arrangements for complaints or redress if
something goes wrong, is regulated by the SRA at www.fsa.gov.uk/register.
Where we may arrange insurance cover for a client as part of our
packaged service, the insurance cover is subject at all times to
the terms and conditions of the business agreement between us
and the client, the insurance policy and the terms of the
insurances. .
The SRA is the independent regulatory arm of the Law
Society. The Legal Ombudsman deals with complaints against
lawyers.
Our goal is to provide clients with consistently excellent
advice of uncompromising quality, but any client not satisfied with
our service should notify the person responsible for the matter or,
if you prefer, our Chief Executive officer as soon as
possible. If we and a client cannot reach a solution
together, that client can pursue a complaint with the Legal
Ombudsman.
Health and safety services and
consultancy
At Bamboo, our health and safety services and consultancy
activities are provided through Bamboo Health & Safety Limited
("Bamboo Health & Safety"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bamboo
Law.
Bamboo Health & Safety is not a firm of solicitors and is
not authorised and regulated by the SRA and clients of Bamboo
Health & Safety do not therefore benefit from the statutory
protections afforded to the clients of a law firm authorised and
regulated by the SRA.
The activities of Bamboo Health & Safety are however covered
by commercial insurance with reputable insurers.
Trading Name
Bamboo is the trading name of Bamboo Law and its wholly owned
subsidiary Bamboo Health & Safety.
